About HireLogs

Why this exists

I graduated from a tier-2 engineering college in Pune in 2019. I didn't have seniors at Google or Amazon. I didn't have access to interview prep communities or paid coaching. What I had was a desperate need to understand what actually happens inside a Flipkart SDE-2 interview — not the sanitised version on GeeksForGeeks, but the real experience: how long each round lasted, where candidates got stuck, what the interviewer actually cared about.

I joined Flipkart as a fresh grad and spent three years watching talented colleagues from non-IIT backgrounds fail interviews they should have passed — not because they weren't good enough, but because they were preparing for the wrong things. They had no mental model of what the bar actually was. I started collecting real interview notes from colleagues and friends. This site is what that effort became.

HireLogs exists because access to honest, specific, verified interview experiences shouldn't be a privilege of elite college networks. It should be available to anyone with an internet connection.

What this is

HireLogs is a curated library of real interview experiences, not a forum or a social network. Every experience published here has been reviewed by a human curator before it goes live. We prioritise quality over quantity — one honest, detailed account of a specific round is worth more than a hundred vague summaries.

Each experience captures what the candidate was asked, how they approached it, where they got stuck, and what they would do differently. Authors are verified through one of four mechanisms: offer letter, work email, LinkedIn confirmation, or interviewer credential. Their identities remain anonymous to readers.

We organise experiences by company, role, and level — so a candidate preparing for a Razorpay SDE-2 interview can read from people who have specifically been through that process, not a generic pool of industry experience.

What this isn't

HireLogs is not a job board. We do not list open positions, accept recruiter listings, or take any money from companies. We have no commercial relationship with any employer whose interview process appears here.

HireLogs is not a coaching platform. We don't sell courses, mock interviews, or resume reviews. We have no financial interest in whether you pass your interview — we just want you to go in with accurate information.

HireLogs is not monetised. There are no ads, no affiliate links, no premium tiers. The site costs money to run and is currently funded personally. If that changes, we will tell you clearly and immediately.

The anti-AI promise

Every experience on HireLogs was written by a human who lived it. In 2026, that distinction matters more than it might seem. AI- generated interview summaries are fluent, plausible, and wrong in ways that are difficult to detect. A model trained on historical data cannot tell you that a company changed its system design bar six months ago, or that a particular team has started emphasising behavioural depth over pure coding ability.

We use AI in one place only: to help contributors structure and articulate their own experiences during the submission process. The underlying facts, the specific questions, the stuck moments — these must come from the contributor. Our curators are trained to identify and reject AI-fabricated submissions.

We make this promise because the value of this library depends entirely on its accuracy. A single convincingly false experience could send a candidate into an interview room with the wrong preparation. We take that seriously.

Who's behind this

HireLogs is built and maintained by Aman Sharma. This project is a side effort, not affiliated with any employer. I built it because I wished it existed when I was preparing for my own interviews in 2021.
