About HireLogs

Why this exists

When you're preparing for a tech interview, the hardest part isn't finding resources — it's finding honest ones. You can read a hundred generic write-ups and still have no real sense of what a specific interview actually feels like: how long each round runs, what the interviewer cared about beyond the solution, where most candidates stumble and why.

The information exists — scattered across DMs, group chats, forum posts that disappear in 24 hours, and conversations that never made it online at all. People who prep well usually do so because they happened to know someone who'd been through the same loop recently. That's not a skill advantage. It's just luck.

We started collecting detailed, honest interview notes from colleagues and friends — the kind of notes people actually use to prepare, not the kind written to rank on search engines. HireLogs is what that effort became

It exists because knowing what the bar actually looks like at a specific company, for a specific role and level, shouldn't depend on who you happen to know.

What this is

HireLogs is a curated library of interview experiences sourced directly by our team — not a forum, not user-generated content, not scraped from the internet. Every experience starts with us reaching out: cold emails, LinkedIn messages, and sometimes just asking someone we know who recently went through the process.

When someone agrees to speak with us, we get on a call. We listen, ask questions, and dig deeper — round by round, question by question. We take our own raw notes during and after every conversation. Those notes are then structured into the format you see here, so they're easier to read and navigate.

The questions, the stuck moments, the advice — all of it comes from the conversation. None of it is invented.

We organise experiences by company, role, and level — so someone preparing for a Razorpay SDE-2 interview reads from people who specifically went through that process, not a generic pool of industry content.

What this isn't

HireLogs is not a job board. We don't list open positions, accept recruiter listings, or take money from companies.

HireLogs is not a coaching platform. We don't sell courses, mock interviews, or resume reviews. We have no financial interest in whether you pass — we just want you to walk in with accurate information.

HireLogs is not monetised. No ads, no affiliate links, no premium tiers. The site is currently funded personally. If that ever changes, we'll tell you clearly and immediately.

How we source content

We cold-email candidates. We send LinkedIn requests. We follow up. When someone agrees to talk, we really listen — asking follow-up questions, pushing for specifics, making sure the picture is complete. This is slow, deliberate work, and that's exactly the point.

No content here is copied or scraped from anywhere online. AI plays exactly one role: taking our raw conversation notes and structuring them into a readable format. The substance — the questions asked, the approaches taken, the moments of failure and recovery — comes entirely from the person we spoke to.

This is our commitment. A single fabricated experience could send someone into an interview with the wrong preparation. We take that seriously, which is why we do this the hard way.

Who's behind this

HireLogs is built by a small group of people who have been through the Indian tech hiring process themselves. It's a side effort, not affiliated with any employer. We built it because we wished it existed when we were preparing.

Questions, feedback, takedown requests, or just want to say hello — email us at admin@hirelogs.com. We read every message personally.
